The NC uses a single dry-plate clutch that lasts well under normal use. The job to reach it also exposes the rear main seal, a known slow-weep item, so replace the seal while the gearbox is out.
Clutch and rear main are a natural pairing: both live between engine and transmission, and you are already there.
