The NB (1999-2005) keeps the NA's lightweight rear-drive recipe but trades pop-ups for fixed headlights, stiffens the body, and - from 2001 - adds variable valve timing. It is the value-buyer's sweet spot: NA feel with more modern brakes and interior.
