Front pads and rotors on a Miata are a beginner-friendly hour per side. The single-piston sliding calipers make it a pin-bolt, pad-swap, rotor-off job with no special tools beyond a caliper spreader.
Lift and remove the wheel. Loosen lugs on the ground, jack the front, set it on a stand, then pull the wheel.
